Pre-filing Counseling
We understand that each person who seeks assistance has a unique financial situation.  During your pre-filing counseling session, a certified credit counselor will work one-on-one with you to develop a detailed personal financial assessment.  This in-depth process will provide you with a true and accurate picture of your financial situation.  The persona financial assessment is just the first piece that is developed to help you determine the right solution for your financial situation.  Your counselor will work with you to develop a reasonable and manageable spending plan, a detailed action plan, and  short- and long-term financial goals.

From the comfort of your home, you can complete your pre-filing counseling session by telephone, Internet, or Web chat.  Counseling is available by telephone and Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at www.BankruptcyCertificate.com.  In-person services are available by appointment in the local markets in which we operate.  Counseling service are available in Spanish with more than 150 other languages available upon request. 

Upon completion of the counseling session, your certificate of participation will be promptly delivered by email, fax, or mail.  This certificate will allow you to proceed with the bankruptcy filing process.

Pre-Discharge Education
The pre-discharge education program covers a variety of financial and budgeting topics, assuring you have the tools necessary to build a strong financial foundation.  During the education program, you will receive tips and tools for wise money management and credit use.  You will also discover how to set achievable financial goals, calculate your net worth, create a liveable budget, establish or reestablish a good credit history, and build a savings plan.  Each participant in the in-person and teleconference classes will receive a workbook designed for use during and after the course.

For your convenience, the pre-discharge education program is available by telephone at 866.745.2227, in-person (in select markets), and online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at www.BankruptcyCertificate.com.  The education program is available in English and Spanish. 

Upon completion of the program, your certificate of participation will be promptly delivered by email, fax, or mail.  This certificate will allow you to proceed with the bankruptcy discharge process.

The service fee for pre-filing counseling and corresponding certificate is $50 for an additional and/or joint filing.  If the joint debtors are not counseled during the same session, there will be a $50 fee for each session or corresponding certificate.  Debtor education classes are available by telephone for $50 for an individual session and $75 for a joint session, and by Internet for $50 for an individual and/or joint session.  Price may vary based on individual state regulations.  Service fees will be waived if the client's gross earnings are equal to or less than 150% of the National Poverty Level.
